‘I Hate It’ - say Hagen B. and Zuckermann

Hagen B. and Zuckermann (or “Bergman zu Fuss“) is a Berlin DJ/ Producer double. We set out to bring sex and soul back into Minimal. Our secret formula: mix, shake and stir the hottest classical House ingredients with an innoative choice of todays Minimal sounds - uh, well, and please don’t get cheesy! Result: a “2nd Berlin Skool of House” that features the spirit and techniques of that early 90ies 1st Berlin Skool (music you could hear at E-Werk, Globus, WMF). It uses different sounds plus a completely different approach towards producing though - oh, yeah, and a little bit of magic… We hope you like what we do. Having received an enormous amount of positive feedback and plays for our ‘I Hate IT’ EP on our MySpace sites already, here it comes again on de-bug for your ppp (uhm…, personal podcast pleasure). in de:bug
1. ‘M I Missing U’ (Minimal Remix) by Hagen B. & Zuckermann features our trademark sound, this “2nd Berlin Skool” thing.
‘M I Missing U’ (Original Mix) by Hagen B. on the other hand features a more straightforward Electro sound, the lyrics might remind you of something…
‘M I Missing U’ (Zuckermann’s Radio Edit) is made so that radio DJs can throw in their f***in’ advertisement (I gave up on listening to over the air radio, it is just so painful), but has some nice variations in sound. Enjoy!

Electronic Shopping - New Arrivals

01.NOVAMEN - Lies (Viewlexx Holland) Comentários:Oldskool electro/wave monster by the Novamen (Dj Overdose / Mr Pauli). Instant classic, huge! in clone in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
02.VA - The Modern Electronic Element EP: Serie 1 (Nation US) Comentários: Jakbeat as it has come to known is not just a hash back to a golden age of house and not just a mess of drumbeats and synths, and it's not just created at random. ''Jack'' exists on all levels, ''Jakbeat'' is a state of mind. The ''modern electronic elements series'' concept was driven by thoughts of Traxx to unleash different styles of sound to the element of jakbeat. Part 1 features Saturn V, Beau Wanzer and D'Marc Cantu. in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
03.AMPLIFIED ORCHESTRA - Solitude (Amplified US) Comentários: Big Tunes alert! Amplified Orchestra are back with another winner EP on their obscure Amplified imprint. Solitude is a long voyage of the best space disco around. Super cool bassline with spacey synths and out of this world effects. Neon is a freighting track with spooky atmospherics and erie melodies. The badd-ass drums make this a floor banger for sure. Tac-Tic is a crazy little disco nugget to please the headz that are into more adventurous sounds. Amplified Orchestra provide more unhinged disco party on this ep than most dj's pack in one hour!! in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
04.GHECKO - Firelight (Flexx Belgium) Comentários: Reissue of this rare italo disco track from '83. Probably our last italo disco release since most of it has been bootlegged by now but we really wanted to credit Giuliano Saglia for this magical release. 'Firelight' is bouncy 80's synthesizer disco with those trademark italo sounds and vocals (also included the instrumental version). But what should get you really excited is the Flemming Dalum 'Firelight' remix. He strips it down to the minimal and builds an amazing dark and intense version that stays true to the original sound but with a modern dancefloor approach. in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
05.CANGELLI, Franco - Taking The Next Cloud (Seventh Sight) Comentários: Three expertly crafted gems from Belgium's Franco Cangelli.Taking The Next Cloud, with its wonderful deep moods. Influenced by Steve Rachmad to Mr Fingers' house can be heard in this great track. Bside leads to a sparkling remix by Sven Weisemann (Mojuba Records).Medicine Man closes proceedings with a workout that has shades of Symbols and Instruments or Eevolute perhaps. Support comes from Fabrice Lig to Jamie Odell (Freerange) to Russ Gabriel for this release. Plus the continues support of: Garnier, Mike Grant, Vince Watson, Chris Duckenfield, Gilles Peterson, Hawtin among a host of illustrious believers. in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
06.PIERRE'S PFANTASY CLUB - Fantasy Girl (SRO US) Comentários: Original Chicago acid house from 1987 from the man who gave you Phuture “Acid Trax”, and too many others. This release features all the tracks from the original pressing and includes the very sought after “Acid Mix”, and the acapella that has not appeared on any reissues. A1 Fantasy Girl (Radio Mix) A2 Fantasy Girl (Acid Mix) B1 Fantasy Girl (Club MIx) B2 Fantasy Girl (Acapella). in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]

A-Trak - Nike “Running Man” Workout Mix

A-Trak said this of the “Running Man” mix: I don’t really run. Yet when Nike asked me to do this track I was smitten. There was a musical challenge there, and I got excited. I’ve been producing mostly uptempo electro tracks as of late, but my background is hip-hop and I think you can hear it in my choice of sounds. I wanted this record to showcase my current style, but I also didn’t want to stray away from hip-hop completely. That’s why you find guest rap verses in the mix, plenty of chopped & screwed vocals, and a hefty dose of drums breaks that are surely more block party than Ibiza. VA - Ai 022 lp

VA - Ai 022 lp (Ai Records) Comentários: 6 track lp with tracks by The Third Man, Najem Sworb & Plant 43! Advanced techno/electro. Glass vinyl with blue dots edition! Ai Records - Founded by steve, jason and phil in 1999, the trios love for vintage detroit/transmat material and early warp/skam has set the label on a well bred trajectory. the labels motivation is to keep “ makeing and releasing music that carries on from where electronica was at its best”. it seems that they have the perfect consensus of when that period was. Ai's bright technicolour sleeves are currently adorning the windows of record shops around the country but be warned. they dont hang around for long. in fact magazine [Para Ouvir/Samples]

MORGAN GEIST - Double Night Time

Featuring vocals from Jeremy Greenspan of Junior Boys, Double Night Time will undoubtedly have a poppier bent than its 1997 predecessor The Driving Memoirs. And the press release accompanying the album promises as much, claiming that the album indulges his "own early influences and guilty pleasures: techno-pop, prog rock and pure electronic music." Prog rock? We'll just have to wait and see what that means. Judging by his latest solo work—and the recent boogie turn of Metro Area—we're expecting fully orchestrated epics that should work just as well in the home as they will in the club. With Greenspan listed as a co-writer of 'City of Smoke and Flame', we'll place our bets on that one as the inevitable pre-album single Double Night Time will hit stores in September. in ra "Morgan Geist - detroit"

NEBRASKA - Mixed up Music for Mixed up People

NEBRASKA - Mixed up Music for Mixed up People (Down Low Music) Comentários: Following the storming single from late last year comes theis wonderful album of mixed soulful styles - slightly reminiscent of Recloose's Cardiology but more British sounding,. Kind of retro but definitely not tired. Excellent stuff, it's a big favorite down here. More choice A&Ring from Downlow... Nebraska is the alias of Ali Gibbs, a relatively unknown but experienced producer from the UK. His first records, released in the early 90's, were collaborations with James Mason (together best known as 'Headphonauts') that fused jazz, hip hop, soundtrack and electronic music, resulting in a sound that anticipated the so-called "Trip Hop" genre that exploded in the following years. In the late 90's, the duo shifted gears towards techno and released an album and an EP as 'Rei Mitsui' on Russ Gabriel's Ferox label (a favorite label of ours -- "Techno Soul" was its motto!). By 2000, Ali had gone solo, releasing his first record as 'Nebraska' on Russ' more organic Disco/House 'Player' label. It was (and is!) a hot record -- it convinced us we had to track Ali down and put out some more of his music. On 'Mixed Up Music for Mixed Up People', Ali's wide-ranging influences and mature production skills shine. The album is full of expertly blended cocktails of house and techno, complimented with splashes of jazz, funk, disco and soul. Check “Vicarious Disco” and “Full Deck” for majestic hypnotizers ala Paperclip People, "Further Listening" for hot & sweaty deep jazz-funk, or "Wooden Ships" for a chilled groove with sparkling keys. Passages of soundtrack-y bliss, a few extra-smooth broken beats, and a dose of hip-hop help make the album a robust and cohesive whole -- and reveal Ali as a beat-lover above all, rather than an artist of a specific genre. (PS -- Keep your eyes peeled for a separate Nebraska 12” on dL, with exclusive tracks and a Soul 223 remix of “Vicarious Disco”!) in rushhour [Para Ouvir/Samples]

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARP - Tema5 (Nature Italy) Comentários: Second solo album by Mario Pierro (aka Raiders of the lost arp) of Jollymusic / Mat101 fame. Tema5 is the definitive journey into its world made of electronic funk & soul, or as they call it in Detroit Hi-tech funk. Mario produces a great blend of funk and techno preserving the effect on the dancefloor thanks to his jammin attitude. For those who haven't experienced any of his live shows, Mario always combines his jazzy funk driven musician style to his old fashioned synths and drum machine's hands-on behaviour. Tracks like Summer 1986 or Love song, even shows some of the italian melodic tradition (without making a reference to italo disco!!). Raiders is paying more tribute to the early influences of Detroittechno and chicago house and fuses that with some clean funk and then you get tracks such as Fastfunk and Space garbage. Beyond the Dark (previously available on a limited 12'') is one of the highlights of this album (did get great feedback from many different angles such as Josh Wink, Carl Craig, I-f) And the remix of UR's Galaxy to Galaxy project, represents the final definition of Mario's science-fiction soul drama vision of contemporary dance music. Check! in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]

GALAXY TOOBIN GANG - Galaxy Toobin' (Creme Organization Holland) Comentários: The cold and beautiful synths of Galaxy Toobin’ Gang are transmitted through the same feeric wave-spaces as those of Laurie Spiegel, Terry Riley or Tangerine Dream and convey perfectly the sensation of simultaneous wonder and alienation that the members of the Peabody expedition must have felt when flying between the abnormally regular shapes of a monstrous mountain range hidden deep into the heart of a eternal screaming whiteness. Galaxy Toobin' Gang's debut album is a truly timeless sounding piece of work created by Elliot Lip and Speculator. in clone [Para Ouvir/Samples]
