Golden Donna - Empty Charm Vessel

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Golden Donna is the latest producer to add to the growing catalog of Amanda Brown's 100% Silk label. Pulled from Golden Donna's new II album for the imprint (out this week), "Empty Charm Vessel" is a track which exists somewhere between analog synth music and retro-lined darkwave. In truth, it all comes off more as a composition than a track, the song's six-minute run landing on a number of different musical sections, each with their own distinctive moods and melodic hooks. The vibes woven throughout Golden Donna's new tune are furthered emphasized by its blurry, clip-heavy video, which can be seen after the jump. via xlr8r

Koenraad Ecker (one half of Lumisokea) modern ensemble 'Ill Fares the Land' it's a multi dimensional voyage that channels you trough a tempestuous nation of poetic resonance. News : Sandra Electronics - Want Need EP out in late April 2014

Minimal Wave is proud to present a 6 song EP by the UK/US duo Sandra Electronics. Originally formed as Sandra Plays Electronics by Karl O’Connor in 1988, the project has evolved over the years to become a collaborative endeavor with Juan Mendez (aka Silent Servant). Three of the tracks were first released as an Untitled 10” on Downwards in 2010, and the record quickly sold out. Those songs have been re-edited and remastered for this EP, and three more rare demos and live versions have been added. The songs can be described as hypnotic industrial electronic mantras with enigmatic keyboards and treated vocals. Each track draws the listener in, with its repetitive psychedelic percussion and dark affected vocals. The record is a hand-numbered edition of 999 copies pressed on 180 gram ultra clear vinyl, and housed in a high quality heavy weight printed sleeve featuring a vintage photograph of Samia Gamal. Release date: April 30th, 2014, with special signed copies available for sale on May 10th at the Brookyln Flea RBMA Record Fair. Sandra Electronics will be doing an exclusive DJ set and record signing that day. Sound samples below. Track B1, the Protection Now (demo) was also featured on Veronica Vasicka’s LN-CC mix 8 minutes in. mix 8 minutes in. via minimalwave

Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane Fall 2014

Hercules & Love Affair announces their new album ‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ (released 26th May) sees another musical reinvention from ringmaster Andy Butler - delivered by an impeccable new line up.  2014’s line up is another roll call of exceptionally talented vocalists. BRITS nominee John Grant’s ability for translating hardship into elegance is writ large on ‘I Try To Talk To You’ and ‘Liberty’; sexy Rouge Mary, whose deep, spiritual voice is hewn from a gospel education; talented Belgian singer Gustaph whose counter tenor takes lead on the single ‘Do You Feel The Same?’ and smoky voiced virtuoso Krystle Warren, who was introduced to Butler by Grant, and sings the provocative ‘My Offence’. Kicking off proceedings is the dancefloor single ‘Do You Feel The Same?’, a jacking pop anthem released 14th April, with B-sides ‘Raid’ (a late night dancefloor banger replete with sirens, 'Working Miracles’ (a sample led journey into the more experimental side of Hercules & Love Affair). ‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ is co-produced by Ha-Ze Factory and industrial stalwart Mark Pistel and released on Moshi Moshi on May 26th. 'Do You Feel The Same?' It's fucking delirious, I'm so insanely stoked on this, I'll definitely be bangin' this track really loud on my sound speakers, watch out neighbours!
Album tracklisting:

My Offence feat.  Krystle Warren
I Try To Talk To You - feat. John Grant
That's Not Me - feat. Gustaph
Think - feat. Rouge Mary
5.43 To Freedom - feat. Rouge Mary
The Light - feat. Krystle Warren
Liberty - feat. John Grant
Do You Feel The Same? – feat. Gustaph

Kangding Ray - Solens Arc (Raster-Noton, 2014)

David Latellier, also known as Kangding Ray, is no stranger to dense atmospheric landscapes shaped with his mix of abstract downtempo beats and experimental cerebral sounds. His work have been evolving from mathematical idm to a more obscure ritual techno and “Solens Arc” it’s a prime example of his evolution in sound. “Solens Arc” is a 12 track walk-through voodoo techno and ritual sounds. A dark minimal lo-fi, ambiental techno composition split into 4 arcs (sections) that are as cohesive between themselves as they are isolated, making this album as much as a excellent solo contemplative hearing experience as a more dancefloor orientated trip. An obvious early highlight of 2014. text by Paulo Gonçalves

D. Edwards - Teenage Tapes (Death Of Rave 005)

D. Edwards - Teenage Tapes (Death Of Rave) Comentários: Following on from releases from the likes of Powell, Mark Leckey and Merzbow, The Death Of Rave is buzzed to present the exceptional debut album from L.A.-based upstart Delroy Edwards. Combining combustible little noise sessions made with guitar pedals and reel-to-reel tape at Art school, together with shocking recent productions, 'Teenage Tapes' showcases a lesser-heard aspect of Delroy's highly aware and divergent tastes owing more to Minimal Wave, Noise, EBM and Black Metal than the Chicago Ghetto-House sound of his releases for L.I.E.S. and his own L.A. Club Resource label. For anyone familiar with his banging, tracky DJ tools, this sound may come as a surprise. However, if you've been paying close attention to his DJ sets and mixes, it's clearly apparent that Delroy's tastes rove well beyond the scene he's part of. Of eight trax, there's four noise pieces ranging from vicious vocal assaults to nuclear drones nodding to Prurient and The Haters, whilst the rhythm-driven pieces cover scorched ground ranging from Terminator II-style cues to a fusion of Lynchian atmosphere and rampant drum machine patterns coming off like Badalamenti meets Wold. Committed to worn-out tape over a number of years, it's all testament to the spirit of febrile spontaneity and disciplined dexterity consistent to Delroy's art, an aesthetic acutely at odds with so much anodyne dance music and manicured noise. in boomkat

First dive on Dean Blun'ts new release "Black Metal" that will be out this year on Rough Trade. No fear in pop metioned that the fact of DB left Hippos In Thanks to start a  new path on Rough Trade felt a bit like the 90's, maybe it does... anyway,  I also hope this means new things on Dean Blunt work, for now all I can say Is that Mersh is a fucking good Mersh (or whatever that means), Amen ! Toru Takemitsu - Vocalism Ai (Love) , 1969

Toru Takemitsu (武満 徹 , October 8, 1930 – February 20, 1996)  was a Japanese composer and writer on aesthetics and music theory. Largely self-taught, Takemitsu possessed consummate skill in the subtle manipulation of instrumental and orchestral timbre. He is famed for combining elements of oriental and occidental philosophy to create a sound uniquely his own, and for fusing opposites together such as sound with silence and tradition with innovation.
He composed several hundred independent works of music, scored more than ninety films and published twenty books. He was also a founding member of the Jikken Kobo (experimental workshop) in Japan, a group of avant-garde artists who distanced themselves from academia and whose collaborative work is often regarded among the most influential of the 20th century.
His 1957 Requiem for strings orchestra attracted international attention, led to several commissions from across the world and established his reputation as one of the leading 20th-century Japanese composers. He was the recipient of numerous awards and honours and the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award is named after him. read more
